No — hot tubs draw far more power than a standard outlet can safely handle and require a dedicated GFCI circuit sized to the unit. A regular outlet risks tripped breakers, overheating wiring, and code violations.
Usually not. We route conduit along existing wall cavities or exterior runs and keep penetrations minimal, sealing and finishing every access point cleanly.
We do a proper load calculation on-site before recommending anything. If your panel has room, we wire directly to it — we only recommend an upgrade when it's genuinely needed.

Dedicated GFCI circuit sized to manufacturer specs.

Independent breakers for pumps, heaters, and lighting.

Dedicated 240V circuit with required safety shutoff.

Hot tubs, pools, and A/C units draw serious power and sit in wet or exposed locations — that combination demands dedicated circuits, proper GFCI protection, and weatherproof materials, not a shared household outlet.
Tron Electrical has wired backyard hot tubs, in-ground pools, and central A/C systems across the GTA for decades, coordinating permits and Hydro so you never manage the paperwork yourself.
Sized right the first time. We run a proper load calculation so your panel can handle the new equipment without nuisance tripping.
Dedicated GFCI-protected 240V circuits sized to your spa's manufacturer specifications.
Independent breaker circuits for pumps, heaters, and pool lighting with proper bonding.
Dedicated 240V circuits and code-required disconnect switches for central air and heat pumps.
Ground-fault protection and equipotential bonding required for all wet-location equipment.
UV-rated conduit, sealed junction boxes, and proper burial depth for underground runs.
Panel upgrades when your existing service can't support new outdoor equipment loads.
Pool electrical work is governed by the rules for wet locations, and every part of it matters: a dedicated circuit sized to the equipment, GFCI protection, correct bonding of the pool structure, ladders, rails, decking reinforcement and equipment, weatherproof disconnects within reach of the equipment pad, and buried wiring installed at the required depth in approved raceway.
We wire pool pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation controllers and covers, and connect equipment for new pools as well as replacements on existing pools.
Hot tubs need their own 240V feed on a dedicated GFCI breaker, a disconnect located the required distance from the tub, correctly sized conductors for the run length, and bonding. We run the feed from the panel to the tub location — through finished basements, along decks, or underground to a pad — and coordinate with the tub installer so the tub is filled and running the same day where possible.
We install and replace pool and spa lighting, transformer-fed low-voltage lighting, deck and surround lighting, and the controls that run them — timers, keypads, automation panels and app control, integrated with the rest of the property's outdoor lighting where you want one system.
Pool and hot tub equipment is a substantial addition to a home's electrical load. We calculate the load before the work starts, confirm the panel has capacity and breaker space, complete a service or panel upgrade where it does not, and see the ESA permit through to the certificate — which is also what insurers and buyers ask for later.
